2025 Goals - Button Trick Learnings

2025 - Tableau Goal - keep the momentum going

With 2025 in front of us, I've decided to uptick and dust off this blog.  Because my Teachers College Tableau gig is complete, I have decided to dedicate more time/learning to Tableau and my public profile for 2025.  My Goals are to iterate and continue to showcase my public profile with keeping a focus on what I've learned and my challenges of learning's passed on to others.

This particular leaning had to do with working with a slick button control trick (my end result) Lindsey Betzendahl demonstrated through this post.  My biggest struggle was trying to understand the Dashboard Actions (parameter/filters). Lindsey is very good at explaining this in her blog post, but I put together some screen shots below with some more explanations.

AI NOTE - One cool thing I did that I've never done is to generate the data through Gemini AI. The world is just opening up on this front.. and I am excited to continue the AI learning path! see last part of screen shot on terminology I used.
